Dear NH Comprehensive Cancer Collaboration Partners and Friends,
Judy Proctor passes the reins on to Terry JohnsonThe rumors are true; I am indeed retiring at the end of June with the intent of spending more time with family, especially our grandchildren. One of my many immediate goals is to become engaged in their lives, which has been challenging with 2 of them living in California.
It has been an interesting, sometimes challenging, but incredibly rewarding ride to serve as Manager of the Collaboration for the past ten years. I am delighted to pass the reins on to my colleague at the Foundation for Healthy Communities, Terry Johnson, who has been the Director of the NH HEAL (Healthy Eating Active Living) Initiative for nine years and will now transition to direct the Collaboration.
I can personally assure you that his leadership will serve the Collaboration well in achieving the goals of the "NH Comprehensive Cancer Plan", and continuing the mission of reducing the burden of cancer in NH.
Terry asked me to convey a message as he prepares to take on his new role.
"I am excited to take over the reins from Judy and realize I have big shoes to fill. It is my hope and intention to carry on her strong leadership ethic, energy and enthusiasm so that I may serve the Collaboration to the best of my abilities. Through my work with HEAL, I have seen how the collective spirt and energies of a dedicated partnership can change the trajectory of chronic disease and improve the health and quality of life of our residents. I look forward to joining the Collaboration in its commitment to eliminate cancer in our state. Feel free to reach out to me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. I will miss seeing Judy here at the office, as will my colleagues at the Foundation for Healthy Communities, but wish her all the best as she embarks on her well-deserved journey into retirement."
I am grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with so many talented, knowledgeable, and supportive people. It is with great pride that I embark upon the next chapter of my life. I will eagerly follow the activities of the membership from the sidelines (and Facebook).
My wish is for you to continue your commitment to improve the lives of those impacted by cancer through implementation of the NH Cancer Plan.
With gratitude,
Judy Proctor
Manager, NH Comprehensive Cancer Collaboration
