The Palliation workgroup plans to:

• Conduct continuing education programs for registered nurses on hospice and end of life care.
• Participate in planning for the 2010 New Hampshire Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s annual conference for health-care providers.
• Continue multi-disciplinary palliative care clinician peer-group discussions to share best practices.
• Establish a plan to address the findings of a survey of hospitals, cancer centers and long term care facilities, conducted in 2010, to determine how cancer survivors access information about palliative care in NH.
• Develop a plan to improve educational opportunities for professional staff in the area of palliative care services and resources.
